"Strawberry Shortcake Girl"

"This summer I am setting out on a road trip to visit some incredible families
and friends. I’m traveling from Austin, TX all the way up to Maine
and across to California, and back! I anticipate spending 3 months
meeting and enjoying people.

My main goal in life is to spread love - so this summer
I am asking people, “What do you LOVE?"

Here’s looking forward to the answers… "
Carey Contey is on a mission to collect the love of people she meets on her summer road trip. We think that's grand! Find out more about this inspiring woman and her adventures in parenting at her website:

Welcome, Michael! (Domino's Rulz!)

You know how you can watch your pizza delivery order's progress on the Domino's website? Well, it also shows the name of the people preparing your meal, and the person delivering it. This sign was made for a Domino's delivery man. It was made by friends of a friend and made the front page of Reddit.
Domino's does rule, and the sign makes me think of summer camp...

Kindness of Strangers

The comments section of this Apartment Therapy article will make you smile for days:

"Thanks for the reminder that we need to trust in each other. I am usually happy to help people but rarely ask for help myself because, like BlueTansey, I fear being judged as a freeloader. It's a foolish way to live because it is so isolated and closed off. Learning how to be part of a community even in our individual travels through life is more valuable than any possession we could carry with us."

The Universe Works

From my dear cousin:
On my morning walk today, [my dog] Maxwell stopped outside a house and was staring at some squirrels in the tree in the front yard. After a minute or so an older woman came out and we started chatting. She told me how much she loves dogs and how she recently lost her dog, and how she is sick and spent the last 4 months in the hospital. She expressed how much she loved Maxwell and chatting, so I told her I would stop on Wednesday with Max, and we can sit outside, watch Max watch squirrels and chat some more. She gave me a huge hug and started to cry and told me she would be watching for us. The Universe works in mysterious ways and I am really looking forward to Wednesday morning ♥

I found this photograph on the internet. It's by Sarah Rhoads at SarahRhoads.com

"A hug protects and supports.

A hug allows two to become one in joyous, overwhelming love.

A hug is a full expression of happiness."
